Dried Fruits and Cruciferous Vegetables
Two more everyday categories round out the list.
Dried fruits such as dates, prunes, and dried apricots contain meaningful amounts of phytoestrogens along with fiber and antioxidants. They are calorie-dense, so enjoy them in moderation, chopped into oatmeal and salads or rolled into homemade energy balls.
Cruciferous vegetables
like broccoli, cauliflower, kale, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts work from a different angle. They are rich in indole-3-carbinol, a compound that helps the liver process and metabolize estrogen, and they deliver plenty of fiber and antioxidants. Steam, roast, or saute them several times a week.
