As for Margaret, the next morning she went out to the yard again with her washing bucket, as if nothing had happened. But now everything was completely different. Women who once feared even talking to her, approached her on her own initiative to help her bring water, offered to take the heavy stuff and no longer allowed anyone to raise her voice to the old woman.
